Sisters Advocating Globally aims to build capacity and enhance the work of women religious engaged in the fight to end human trafficking. In 2021, we supported the publication of Talitha Kum‘s groundbreaking Call to Action against human trafficking, which calls on the international development community to join forces on its key areas of engagement:

  • Ensuring access to justice and to long-term, state-supported psychosocial and health assistance, as well as work and residence permits, for victims in destination countries;
  • Empowering women and girls, as well as their families and communities;
  • Supporting safe and legal migration pathways, including in cases of forced displacement;
  • Promoting an economy of care and solidarity.
